Introduction

Dr Wothers is the Director of Studies for Chemistry at Cambridge University and is a Fellow of St Catharine's College, Cambridge. For over a decade, Dr Wothers has been giving his highly popular demonstration lectures at the Cambridge Science Festival and overseas. In 2012 he delivered the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, a televised series of three lectures entitled "The Modern Alchemist鈥�.
